Still going strong

Another 7am visit to the RE's office this morning.

Follicle Count: 14 on the right and 9 on the left.....23 total! They are measuring between 10 and 14mm right now. The goal is to get them up to 18-21mm to be considered mature (think dime thru nickel in size). My lining looks great!

E2 level: still look good...rising like it should

Drug List: all the same, just adding in Ganirelix tonight....the antagonist to keep me from ovulating...yeap...another shot! I have to give this one between 10 and 11pm....so Brian's going to wake me up and give me the shot in bed!

Still feeling good, but starting to feel a lot of action in my ovaries! Yippeee! There's about 24 times more going on in there than normal, since women typically only ovulate 1 follicle per month.The normal ovary is about the size of an almond. By the time of the egg retrival, mine will be about the size of a grapefruit. So, I guess it would be like the size of a tomoto now, right? The follicles actually grow on the outside of the ovary. The RE used the analogy of a water blister since the follicle is a fluid filled sac on the outside of the ovary that contains the egg.

Next follie scan is on Thursday. Egg retrival is still tentatively scheduled for Monday, 11/2.
