A night at the County Fair

We headed to the Alameda County Fair tonight. It was unseasonably cool which made for a perfect late afternoon and evening at the fair. We checked out the animals

She loved this little goat...she kept coming back to it!

We ate corn dogs. Brian got the monster corn dog...it was the biggest corn dog we'd ever seen!

We watched some cool drummers and Sara got to try her hand at drumming...

We walked the midway and Sara loved taking in the sights

Yard Update

We are in process with some not so fun prep befor the lawn can go down...things like installing new regulators for the sprinkler system.....

 Luckily, Brian and the neighbor traded services....our neighbor is a plumber so he helped Brian with this fancy set-up and then Brian installed some light switches and outlets for him!

 Sprinkler placement is just about set.  Compost and ironite are tilled in.

 San Ramon Art and Wind Festival...so fun!  We are planning to go back next year and fly kites!

 Playground was packed...but we found a quiet area!

Weekend Photo Dump

I'm not sure we could have fit anything else in this weekend! Here's some pictures....

Our neighbors are away camping this weekend, so they invited us to pick blackberries while they were away.  Sara caught on quick!



We headed to Roseville Saturday afternoon to celebrate niece Clareesa's 5th birthday.  It was a Rocker Tie Die Party.  Sara got in on the action...


After the party, we headed to downtown Sac to meet Dave, Dani, and Fiona for dinner. 

Sunday morning was errand running time.  We hit up the Farmer's Market and the grocery store before swim lessons.  Sara started her summer swim lessons today.  We were excited to see her friend Garrett (and his parents) from daycare in her class.  Sara L-O-V-E-S the water.  Her teacher was impressed how comfortable she was.  Sara was the only kid giggling the entire class!  So proud of my girl!

Thankfully, we had a little time for relaxing Sunday afternoon.  Brian went to a neighbor's to install a few outlet and light switches in exchange for some plumbing help at our house....more to come on that!  Sara and I hung out in the backyard.  Sara read books while mama drank a couple of beers.
