Family Photo Time

We had our pictures taken a couple weekends ago.  I bought a groupon deal from a local photographer over the summer.  He is from Martinez and was super laid back and easy to work with.  He was born and raised in Martinez.  In fact, his dad was the editor of the Martinez Gazette for many years.  We enjoyed hearing his stories about downtown Martinez. 

We prayed for no rain and got our wish.  It rained all night long, but cleared up in the morning.  The ground was still pretty wet, so our plans changed slightly.  We wanted to go down to the Marina to get some pictures of the hills and the water.....maybe next time!  We stayed close to downtown and the train station. 

Late November Happenings and Thanksgiving

November went by in a blur! We were lucky enough to fit in some quiet times at the park, library, a couple of over due visits with friends, a holiday event, Thanksgiving, and helping out my mom and dad.  We fit being sick in there....once for Brian, twice for me, and thankfully, only slight sniffles for Sara!

Orinda Park...we can't wait to go back. It's beautiful!

Beautiful weather this weekend...we spent a lot of time outside at Grammie and Gramps!

Brian helped out with some of the prep work this weekend.

We pulled down Christmas decorations this afternoon....the wreath is on the front door and that's it.  But I'm happy to say Christmas shopping is done...thanks Auntie Heather for babysitting for us.  We had a date night and shopping trip and we are now D-O-N-E!

3 years later...

November 8....3 years later.  I still can't believe it.  I get emotional every time I think about how lucky we are....November 8 was our Embryo Transfer day.

Transferring embryos back is one of the most delicate and critical procedures in the IVF process.  All my hard work had been done, and now it was the doctor's turn.  I'll never forgot the doctor pointing out the fluid containing our embryos on the ultrasound screen.  We were so scared, yet so hopeful.  We watched and we waited.  We prayed more than we ever had before........Anyone who has had fertility treatment will tell you that the two-week wait leading up to the pregnancy test is the worst part of the entire process. As much as I tried to stay busy, it was difficult to keep my mind from thinking about those little embryos ‘hopefully’ growing inside my tummy.

Our sweet embryo grew and grew in our beautiful little girl.  1 short year later, she was laughing and smiling and 3 months old and utterly perfect.  Yes...wishes do come true!

Our silly monkey who's smile and laughter can light up the darkest room.  We love this girl more than words can ever describe.  She is crawling all over the place and so much fun!

2 years old and a walking, talking machine who hasn't met a slide she didn't liked!  She gets more and more fun each day.  Blessed beyond measure.....
