Letters to Sara: 7 months

Dear Little Miss Sara,

This past month has been the most interesting month yet! You are discovering and learning new things every day. Here's what you are doing at 7 months:

• You are finding more and more ways to use your voice. I love all the tones and sounds that you make!



• You are having so much fun sitting up. You are constantly exploring and playing with your toys.



• You love being in your exersaucer! You would stay in that thing for hours, if we let you!



• You love blowing raspberries! You are constantly blowing them!



• You love food! You started eating purees and we haven't found much that you haven't liked! I'm enjoying making all of your baby food. You love sweet potatoes, butternut squash, pumpkin, green peas, and mango! You aren't a big fan of green beans but love them when I mix in a little bit of pears. You tolerate avocado, but LOVE it when I mix it with banana. Yummy!



• You have moved into your "big girl carseat".



• You are the proud owner for one shiny tooth! It broke thru last weekend and is getting bigger each day. With the way that you are drooling and chewing on EVERYTHING, I think more are coming in soon.

• You had your first ear infection and your first "big sickness" this month. Poor Baby...you had RSV and were so not yourself for just about 10 days. You were so congested and coughed so hard. I knew you felt bad because you wouldn't smile for anything and you were super cuddly. You would cuddle and make little moaning sounds....poor baby! We kept you home from daycare all week and seem to have made a full recovery!

Sara goes to the Library

Sara needed to get some new reading material. So, we went to the new library in Walnut Creek, since the library in Martinez is currently undergoing renovations. They had a pretty good collection of board books and she had fun!

Weekend Fun!

We took Sara to her 2nd class at Gymboree today. I'm not sure who has more fun....us or Sara! She has so much fun "socializing" with the other babies. We have fun watching her. She loves the parachute and the bubbles! We played baby soccer again and she really started getting into it and was swinging her feet a bit more!

This weeks class was all about rocking. She loved rocking and spinning in the tube!

Brian got the convertible carseats into the cars this past week. It was perfect timing as the Walnut Creek Police Department and John Muir had a carseat checkpoint at Target this week. So, Sara is riding in the grocery cart now. She is loving being able to look around at everything and loves swinging her feet in the cart.

Happy Valentine's Day

The House of Sickness

Sara has been sick for the past week. Poor Baby....she's been coughing so hard and she's been super congested. We took her to the doctor earlier this week and he diagnosed her with RSV. We'd already been doing everything he told us to do (elevate her bed, humidifier, etc). I think she's getting a bit better, she slept thru the night last night. We have had her home all week from daycare just to keep an eye on her.

Tid Bits from the week....

Wow! Are you lucky or what??? We had the most beautiful weather this week. It was in the 70s....hard to believe it's February! Sara enjoyed her first class at Gymboree! She had so much fun and loved all the different activities....well, she wasn't crazy about the belly side....but we tried it again, after class, and she smiled a bit!

We filled our Saturday with a lazy walk in the park and some swinigng sessions in the back yard. She loved the swing and could have easily fallen asleep in the swing. I told Brian that I wanted someone to push me in a swing like that....it looked so relaxing!

On Sunday, we hit the farmers market for some organic produce. Sara is such a piglet that our freezer stash is running low. Sara wasn't feeling super hot, so we just hung out at my parets to watch some of the Super Bowl. We took a long walk at Del Valle.
