Walnut Creek Model Railroad

Since we got all our errands done on Saturday, we decided to play on Sunday. We have been trying to check out new places near us. We are so lucky to have so many options within a short distance of our home.
It was clear and sunny, but windy and cold. Mt. Diablo has a light dusting of snow...brrr! Too cold and windy for a walk to the park, so we decided to check out the model railroad in Walnut Creek. What a cool place...lots to check out. They even have an indoor rain storm with real raindrops. Larkey Park is right next door, so this place is perfect to check out the trains and then have a picnic at park. The pictures don't do it justice! Happy Birthday, Brian!

Sara is in the midst of teething not just one, but two, eye teeth. She was not a happy camper this weekend. Brian was sick, so our weekend was basically a whole lot of this...



And this..


We decided to celebrate Sunday. Brian wanted lasagna for dinner, so lasagna and cupcakes it was...



The Salted Carmel cupcake might just rank up there with the best thing I've ever ate...yum!



Then we opened presents...



A new iPhone...

Entryway upgrade

Our entry way was always a little sparse. It's small so a table or bench wouldn't fit.


We had leftover molding in the garage from the baseboard project, so we found some hooks at Home Depot, screwed them in, and Brian hung up the rack. Turned out pretty good. I love having a landing spot for jackets, etc.
